Is online shopping safe?
Shopping via the Internet is perfectly safe as long as you take a few simple precautions. Always check that the site you are buying from has secure payment pages - this will ensure that your details cannot be stolen or read by anyone.
This can be verified by checking that our website address changes from http:// to https:// and a security icon, usually in the form of a lock or key, appears when authentication and encryption is expected.
Back to questions
How do online payments work?
The process is very simple:
- You will be redirected to the secured payment page at our payment service provider (PSP), which in the case of Million Audio Books, is WorldPay.
- Enter your card details into the secured payment page.
- When you are done and make your payment, the browser encrypts your details and sends them to the PSP via secured connection.
- The PSP then requests authorisation from the acquiring bank and sends back a message to you indicating whether the transaction was successful.
Back to questions
What encryption do you use?
We use a Thawte 1024-bit security certificate to secure Million Audio Books. This provides the highest level of commercially available encryption.
